The Dominican Institute admits academically qualified
students without discrimination as to religion,
gender, nationality or ethnic group. Yet it observes
the following procedures:
* To be admitted into the B.A. Philosophy
programme, the applicant must have at least five
ordinary level credits obtained in one sitting or
six in two sittings. Besides this, the Dominican
Institute conducts its own entrance examination.
* Applicants to the B.Th. Single Honours
Theology programme of the University of
Jos must have a first degree in Philosophy. In the
event that the applicant possesses a first degree
in a discipline other than Philosophy, the applicant
will be required to take courses in the Philosophy
Department to meet the equivalent of two years of
Philosophy courses.
* Applicants to the B.Th. Theology
programme of the University of St. Thomas Aquinas
(Angelicum), Rome, must be clerics proposed by their
bishop or religious superior. In addition, they
must have a first degree in Philosophy. In the event
that the applicant possesses a first degree in a
discipline other than Philosophy, the applicant
will be required to take courses in the Philosophy
Department to meet the equivalent of two years of
Philosophy courses.
* Applicants to the M.A. Theology
programme of Duquesne University must have the equivalent
of a B.Th. in Theology.
